7 April at 6:15 pm-9:00 pm
We offer meditation evenings on alternate Tuesdays online not
at the Quaker Meeting House. There is an early group 6.15 – 7.15pm, particularly for newcomers to meditation, with some instruction and guided meditation, and a later session 7.30 – 9pm for all-comers. The sessions include sitting and walking meditation, and there are sometimes discussions on a theme connected with meditation practice. You are welcome to come to both sessions & there is no need to book. Optional donations are welcome to cover room hire.
Due to coronavirus we’re moving Tuesday Practice Evenings online. Same dates, times, structure and facilitators. To join the Google Hangouts group video call, click this link:
Its like an online room, always there, but we’ll only meet there at usual times.
You can just view and listen (you’ll need speakers or headphones). For us to hear you, you’ll need a microphone connected (unmute only when speaking). For us to see you, you’ll need a camera connected.
In alternate sessions (led by Julian) we are reading and discussing Thich Nhat Hanh’s 5 Mindfulness Trainings (based on the Buddhist 5 precepts):
- Tue 7 Apr: Mindfulness Training 3: True Love (refrain from sexual misconduct)
- Tue 5 May: Mindfulness Training 4: Loving Speech and Deep Listening (refrain from wrong speech)
- Tue 2 Jun: Mindfulness Training 5: Nourishment and Healing (refrain from intoxicants)
