Cultivating & Sustaining Compassion in Challenging Times

‘How do we sustain & care for ourselves & others amidst personal & collective crises? A 5-week Insight Meditation course led by River Wolton

This five-session course in the Insight Meditation tradition will offer guided practices in mindfulness, loving-kindness, appreciative joy, steadiness, and compassion. There will be suggestions for home practice, and ways in which we can weave these into our everyday lives and challenges. All are welcome.

The course begins with an in-person half-day retreat (livestream option), and continues with four evening online sessions, and will include guided meditations, short reflections, group discussion, and exercises.

Dates:
Saturday 11th May. 9.15 am – 12.15pm  In-person retreat (livestream available)
Thursday 16th May 7.30 – 9.00 pm (all Thursday sessions will be online via Zoom)
Thursday 23rd May 7.30 – 9.00 pm
(No session on 30th May)
Thursday 6th June 7.30 – 9.00 pm
Thursday 13th June 7.30 – 9.00 pm

River Wolton teaches at Gaia House and other centres in the UK and Europe. She completed Dharma Teacher training with Bodhi College, and her recent book ’The Subtle Art of Caring: A Guide to Sustaining Compassion’ was published by Windhorse in 2023.
